Why Traditional HVAC Systems Are Inefficient Compared to Heat Pumps
Traditional air systems heat and cool your entire home every time you adjust the temperature. Both a furnace and AC system will use the ductwork in your home (if you have ductwork) to distribute the air throughout the home. With ductwork, the temperature is never as good in rooms further away from the thermostat.
This is highly energy inefficient since you’re probably not spending all of your time in every room of your home throughout the day. It’s also less efficient because ductwork can have air leaks where the hot or cold air escapes to a different area of the house.
